Mail Call

We got a letter from Jordan today 2-27

The weather has been hot, the mornings are ice cold but it warms right up, and that is the first day that it has actually rained.

Shooting the 50 cal was amazing, so much raw power in your hands. The rockets were actually kinda stupid, the rounds were fake. They shot their M16A2 live rounds down range, he did a grouping shot, 25 rounds.

There are still some guys in his group that just don't get it, they don't freaking listen. "It has been three weeks and people still can't shut up and work as a team. I wish they would just go home."

He ran two miles without stopping in about 16 minutes, that is awesome! He will need to do two miles in 16 minutes to pass his final PT test. Sounds like that is all good, at week 3, WOO HOO!!

They went to the "beach", which turned out not to be a beach but a sand pit that you run in. yippee!

We also got a letter from the Commander, it gave some specifics for Family Day and Graduation. It does sound like he will leave for AIT on Saturday morning. It doesn't sound like he will be able to leave base on Family Day, but there does sound like there are a lot of things for us to do on base, us girls will have to check out the 512 Trolley Cafe, "Serving a variety of hot and cold espresso based beverages".

Hoping to get a call soon, it has been too long!!

Proud Army Mom!!
